All Scenic Emerald cabins have a maximum capacity of 2 guests. With the exception of the lower (Jewel Deck 1) cabins (located at water level), all other staterooms (87%) are balcony cabins. Scenic Tours markets them as “Suite” accommodations featuring “Sun Lounges.” Each includes a private (step-out) balcony designed for all-weather use. The ship offers 14 cabin categories.
The following is a review of Scenic Emerald staterooms, including furniture, price-included amenities, and complimentary services:
- All Scenic Emerald cabins feature queen beds (some convertible to twin beds) with deluxe Egyptian cotton bedding sets (sheets and duvets); the Single Suite has a single bed. Each cabin includes bedside tables, a private en-suite luxury bathroom (WC, sink, shower cubicle, lighted mirror, color lighting system, luxury bath products /shampoo, liquid soap, conditioner, body lotion), sliding-door closets (hangers, drawers, shelves), flat HDTV (with “View From the Bridge” real-time webcam views), desk (jutting-out countertop, bookcase, white leather stool), safe, mini-bar (complimentary, restocked daily with soda, juice, sparkling water, liqueur, snacks), iPod station (with clock), hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, umbrella, individual climate control, and 220V power outlets (European and Australian sockets /American passengers need adapters).
- Jewel Deck rooms feature fixed (non-opening) picture windows located high on the riverside wall.
- All Suites feature floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening to a private, full-size outdoor veranda (furnished with black-and-white wicker chairs). This innovative design balcony is also known as a “Sun Lounge” balcony. It is essentially a glass-enclosed sitting area (part of the cabin) located behind floor-to-ceiling windows that can open. Behind the windows are sheer and blackout curtains. This Sun Lounge section of the cabin can easily transform into an outdoor veranda at the push of a button.
- Suite bathrooms feature large glass-enclosed showers with doors.
- Junior Suites include bathtubs and an expanded vanity sink area with mirrored cabinets.
- Royal Panorama Suites are the largest and feature aft-wall windows, a Sun Lounge, a sitting area (couch), and a large bathroom (shower /no bathtub).
- Royal Suites feature a larger sitting area and extended bathrooms (ample cabinet space, bathtub, small shower).
- The ship has only one single cabin, approximately half the size of a balcony suite, with a full-size closet, balcony, and bathroom.
- The ship also has one wheelchair-accessible cabin located on Diamond Deck 3. It is similar to a Junior Suite but includes a larger entry door, modified shower, fold-down seat, and grab bar (no bathtub).
- You can see all furniture details on Scenic Emerald cabin plans in the table above.
- Complimentary butler service is available to all passengers and includes shoeshine, shore excursion arrangements, Spa reservations, and drinks service. Guests in all grades of balcony cabins additionally enjoy cocktail party arrangements and morning coffee/tea service.
- Diamond Deck 3 Suite guests also enjoy room service breakfast and complimentary pressing (2 items daily).
- Royal Suite butlers also assist with luggage unpacking/repacking, free laundry/pressing, and in-room dining service.
- Laundry and pressing services are available to Riverview/window cabin passengers for a fee (there are no self-service laundry facilities).
