Scenic Sapphire cabins review

All Scenic Sapphire cabins have a maximum capacity of 2 guests per stateroom. With the exception of the lower (Jewel Deck 1) cabins (located at water level), all other staterooms (87%) are balcony cabins. They are advertised by Scenic Tours as “Suite” accommodations with “Sun Lounges”. Each of these features a private (step-out) balcony for all-weather use. The number of cabin categories is 14.

Below is a review of Scenic Sapphire staterooms, including furniture, price-included amenities, and complimentary services:

  • All Scenic Sapphire rooms feature queen beds (some convertible to twin beds, with deluxe Egyptian cotton bedding sets / sheets and duvets; the Single Suite has a single bed), bedside tables, a private luxury en-suite bathroom (WC, sink, shower cubicle, lighted mirror, color lighting system, luxury bath products / shampoo, liquid soap, conditioner, body lotion), sliding-door closets (hangers, drawers, shelves), flat HDTV (with “View From the Bridge” / real-time webcam views), desk (jutting-out countertop, bookcase, white-leather stool), safe, mini-bar (complimentary, restocked daily with soda, juice, sparkling water, liqueur, snacks), iPod station (with clock), hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, umbrella, individual climate control, and 220V power outlets (European and Australian sockets / American passengers require adapters).
  • Jewel Deck rooms feature fixed, non-opening Picture Windows located high on the riverside wall.
  • All Suites feature floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening to a private, full-size outdoor veranda (furnished with black-and-white wicker chairs). This innovative balcony design is known as the “Sun Lounge”. It is a glass-enclosed sitting area (part of the cabin) located behind floor-to-ceiling windows that can open. Behind the windows are sheers and blackout curtains. This Sun Lounge section of the cabin can easily transform into an outdoor veranda at the push of a button.
  • Suite bathrooms feature large glass-enclosed showers with doors.
  • Junior Suites include bathtubs and an expanded vanity sink area with mirrored cabinets.
  • Royal Panorama Suites are the largest accommodations, featuring aft-wall windows, a Sun Lounge, a sitting area (couch), and a large bathroom (shower only, no bathtub).
  • Royal Suites feature a larger sitting area and elongated bathrooms (ample cabinet space, bathtub, and small shower).
  • The ship has only one single cabin, sized as a half balcony suite, with a full-size closet, balcony, and bathroom.
  • The only wheelchair-accessible cabin is located on Diamond Deck 3 and is identical to a Junior Suite (larger entry door, modified shower, fold-down seat, grab bar / no bathtub).
  • You can see all furniture details on Scenic Sapphire cabin plans in the table above.
  • Complimentary butler service is available to all passengers, offering shoeshine service, shore excursion arrangements, spa reservations, and drinks service. Guests in all balcony cabin grades additionally enjoy cocktail party arrangements and morning coffee and tea service.
  • Diamond Deck 3 Suite guests additionally enjoy room service breakfast and complimentary pressing (2 items daily).
  • Royal Suite butlers also provide luggage unpacking and repacking, complimentary laundry and pressing, and in-room dining service.
  • Laundry and pressing services are available to Riverview/window cabin passengers for a fee (there are no self-service laundry facilities).
