Costa Smeralda (2019-built) is a Helios-class cruise ship owned by Carnival Corporation and operated by Costa Cruises. Her sistership is Costa Toscana (2021).
The Costa Smeralda deck plan includes 2612 staterooms accommodating 5282 passengers (maximum capacity 6554), served by a crew of 1678. The vessel has 20 decks (16 accessible to passengers, 11 with cabins), 13 dining venues, 19 entertainment venues, 4 swimming pools, 9 outdoor Jacuzzies, a two-level Theater Lounge, a Disco (featuring Silent Party and Virtual Band), a Casino (with gaming lounge and bar), 22 elevators, and no self-service laundromats.

- Piazza di Spagna is a three-level aft-facing atrium stairway with an open-air terrace and a glass floor on the top level.

- Trastevere, located at the bow, is a Venice-style piazza featuring Il Bacaro, Gelateria Amarillo, retail shops, and live music entertainment.
- The Costa Design Museum (CoDe) is the fleet’s first onboard design museum, spanning 400 m² and curated by Italian designer Matteo Vercelloni.
- Bars and lounges include Ferrari Spumante Spazio Bollicine (sparkling wine bar), Aperol Spritz Bar, Campari Bar, and Nutella Café.
- The ship’s Spa complex features a Hammam Room (Turkish Bath), Thalassotherapy Pool, 16 treatment rooms (for massages), Snow Room, Salt Room, Relaxation Room (spa lounge), and Beauty Salon. The gym is equipped with the latest Technogym equipment.
- Swimming pools include one with a glass roof, two kids-only pools, and one with a swimming lane.
- The stateroom inventory includes 28 suites, 106 terrace suites, 1522 balcony cabins, 168 oceanview cabins, and 788 inside cabins.
Staterooms (designed by Dordoni Architetti) are uniquely styled based on the deck's city theme. Costa Cruises partnered with top Italian brands for furnishings: Molteni & C (cabin furniture), Dorelan (mattresses), Roda (balcony furniture), Flos (decorative lighting), Dedar and Rubelli (fabrics and upholstery). Additional suppliers include Kartell (plastic furnishings, lighting, accessories), Poltrona Frau (leather furniture), and Alessi (kitchenware and designer utensils).
