Star Pride deck plans

Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities

Star Pride deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2026-2027-2028 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by Windstar Cruises deckplan pdf (printable version).

Each of the Star Pride cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on Star Pride staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.

Star Pride (1988-built as “Seabourn Pride”, acquired by Windstar Cruises in 2014, last refurbished and stretched in 2021) is the first of three identical sisterships, alongside Star Breeze (ex-Seabourn Spirit) and Star Legend (ex-Seabourn Legend). These vessels are the largest in Windstar’s fleet, complementing the brand’s signature tall sailing ships. The transfer from Seabourn Cruises to Windstar was completed in 2014, when the ship left Seabourn on March 30, underwent drydock refurbishment in April, and entered Windstar service on May 5.

The ship’s deck plan includes 156 staterooms for 312 passengers (maximum capacity 343), served by 190 crew. Star Pride has 8 decks (6 passenger-accessible, 4 with cabins), 5 restaurants, 3 lounges/bars, 1 swimming pool, 3 outdoor Jacuzzis, a retractable aft marina (watersports platform), 4 elevators, and an onboard medical facility with a resident doctor.

Marketed as a luxury superyacht, Star Pride operates on an all-inclusive model. Complimentary amenities and services include:

  • Wi-Fi access (Internet packages available for upgrade)
  • 24-hour room service, twice-daily housekeeping, and complimentary laundry/ironing
  • All meals across all dining venues, including in-suite dining
  • Non-alcoholic beverages (soft drinks, juices, bottled water, tea, specialty coffee, cappuccino)
  • Welcome Aboard cocktails
  • Complimentary watersports equipment, fitness facilities, and onboard enrichment (lectures, presentations)
  • Daily onboard program delivered to staterooms
  • Flexible shore excursion policy (free changes/cancellations up to 24 hours prior)
  • Complimentary “Market Tour” with the Executive Chef in select ports

Star Pride deckplan changes (2020–2021 reconstruction / refurbishment)

On November 15, 2018, Windstar announced the “Star Plus Initiative” — a USD 250 million fleet modernization program involving stretching and re-engining of the three Star-class ships. The project was partially financed through an Export Credit facility guaranteed by SACE Italy.

The program covered Star Breeze (completed February 20, 2020), Star Legend (July 2, 2020), and Star Pride (November 20, 2020, delivered October 13, 2021). Works were carried out at Fincantieri shipyards in Palermo and Trieste.

The transformation delivered substantial technical and commercial upgrades:

  • Passenger capacity increased from 254 to 312 (up to ~320), crew from 140 to 190
  • Gross tonnage increased from 9,975 GT to 12,995 GT
  • Length extended from 134 m to 159 m via insertion of a 25 m prefabricated midship section
  • Stateroom count increased from 106 to 156 (+50 new suites)

The structural modification involved cutting the vessel and inserting a prebuilt midship block (fabricated in Trieste and transported to Palermo). This section also added a new elevator and enabled expanded public spaces.

Post-refit enhancements include:

  • Two new dining venues: Cuadro 44 (specialty restaurant by Anthony Sasso) and Star Grill (casual BBQ by Steven Raichlen)
  • Expanded retail space (Signature Shop)
  • Enlarged Fitness Center with Motion Studio
  • Expanded WindSpa wellness complex
  • New lounge (deck 5)
  • Larger pool deck and sundeck (deck 7)
  • New tender loading platform (deck 3 midship) and two 90-passenger tenders
  • Additional whirlpool and enlarged pool (deck 8)
  • Upgraded crew areas and accommodations

The propulsion system was also модернизирана — replacing 4x Bergen diesel engines (B33:45, ~7.3 MW total output) with 4x Wartsila 46F engines (~5 MW combined output) running on ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD), improving efficiency and emissions profile.

All staterooms were fully refurbished (bathrooms, balconies, furnishings, systems), while new premium suites were introduced, including midship Owner Suites and enlarged Forward Grand Owner Suites (Deck 6). The redesign of interiors and new spaces was executed by the New York-based “The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry”.
