Viking Egdir deck plans

Viking Egdir (built 2021) is one of the Viking Cruises longships. This large riverboat is named Egdir (also referenced as Eggder) – in Norse mythology, the giantess Angrboda’s herder who raises monstrous wolves. From Old Norse, the name translates as “edge-servant,” “servant of the sword,” or “one who provides victims for battle.”

The Viking Egdir cruise ship deck plan includes a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers, served by 50 crew and staff. She features 4 passenger decks (3 with cabins), a 2-story Atrium (glass-roof-covered midship area), and 1 glass-enclosed elevator (connecting the Main and Upper decks only). Public spaces include two restaurants (Dining Room and Aquavit Terrace/Lido Buffet), an Observation Lounge with Bar, Library, and a Foyer (lobby area with Boutique Shop and Reception Desk). The Sun Deck features the Sky Bar (forward outdoor seating area with tables and chairs), SkyLight (glass roof over the Atrium), Wheelhouse/Bridge, shaded seating area (covered by a large retractable awning and encircled by a walking track), as well as an aft sundeck with a putting green (mini-golf), organic herb garden, and deck games area (shuffleboard and giant outdoor chessboard).

The Viking longship Egdir does not have self-service laundry facilities (laundromats), a fitness/gym room, swimming pool/whirlpool, or spa/beauty salon. Guests may access health and spa facilities at luxury hotels along the river cruise itinerary.
