Viking Idun (built 2014) is one of the new generation Viking Cruises longships. This river cruise ship is named after the Norse mythology’s “apple” goddess of eternal youth, rejuvenation, spring. Wife of god Bragi (poetry, Idun (Idunn) is the keeper of the golden apples which all gods must eat in order to keep their immortality.
Viking Idun cruise ship deck plan has a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers served by 50 crew/staff, 4 passenger decks, 1 glass elevator (connecting Main-Upper decks only). The Viking longship Idun has no gym, pool/whirlpool or spa. Guests may access health & spa facilities at luxury hotels along the Idun’s itinerary route.
