Viking Bragi (built in 2013) is part of the new generation Viking Cruises longships. The river cruise ship is named after the Norse god of music and poetry. Bragi (son of Odin and Frigg) is said to have the ability to charm all living creatures, including trees and flowers. Bragi’s wife is the goddess Idun. The name “Bragi” in Old Norse means “poetry”.
Viking Bragi’s deck plan includes a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers, served by 50 crew members. The ship features 4 passenger decks and 1 glass elevator (connecting the Main and Upper decks only). The Viking longship Bragi has no gym, pool/whirlpool, or spa. Guests may access health and spa facilities at luxury hotels along the ship’s itinerary.
