Viking Alruna (built 2016) is one of the new generation Viking Cruises longships. This river cruise ship is named after Alruna (or Olrun.Ailrun), the wife of the archer Agilaz (Egil) from the poem Volundarkvida, Alruna was a valkyrie (name for divine female warriors in the Norse mythology) and daughter of Kiar (Kíarr) – king of the Valir (Valland).
Viking Alruna cruise ship deck plan has a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers served by 50 crew/staff, 4 passenger decks, 1 glass elevator (connecting Main-Upper decks only). The Viking longship Alruna has no gym, pool/whirlpool or spa. Guests may access health & spa facilities at luxury hotels along the Alruna’s itinerary route.
