Viking Kadlin (built in 2016) is one of Viking's longships. This riverboat is named after the Old Norse female name Kadlin (Nordic Caitlin, a form of Cadlae and Catherine), most likely of Celtic origin. The root “cath” means “battle”. Kadlin was the daughter of Rolf (also known as Rollo, "the Ganger") – a Viking chieftain who conquered and ruled over Normandy. She married Bjolan (King of Scotland) and had a daughter (Midbjorg), who later married the Icelandic Viking Helgi Ottarson.
Viking Kadlin's deck plan includes a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers, served by 50 crew and staff, across 4 passenger decks, and 1 glass elevator (connecting the Main and Upper decks only). The Viking longship Kadlin has no gym, pool/whirlpool, or spa facilities. Guests may access health and spa facilities at luxury hotels along the ship’s itinerary route.
