Viking Vili (built in 2015) is one of the new-generation Viking Cruises longships. This river cruise ship is named after Vili – one of Norse mythology’s three prime gods, son of Bestla. Together with his brothers Ve and Odin, Vili fought and slew the ruler of the primeval world, Ymir – the creator of the race of giants. From Ymir’s corpse, the three gods formed the new world’s heaven and earth. Out of the wood of two trees, they shaped the first woman and man – Embla and Ask, to whom Vili gave the gift of intelligence and wit, as well as the sense of touch. The name Vili in Old Norse means “will”.
Viking Vili cruise ship deck plan has a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers served by 50 crew/staff, 4 passenger decks and 1 glass elevator (connecting Main-Upper decks only). The Viking longship Vili has no gym, pool/whirlpool or spa. Guests may access health and spa facilities at luxury hotels along Vili’s itinerary route.
