Viking Bestla (built 2014) is one of the new generation Viking Cruises longships. This river cruise ship is named after the Norse mythology’s “mother of all gods” – the giantess Bestla, daughter of giant Bolthorn. Bestla and her husband Bor (Burr) have 3 godsons – Odin, Vili, Ve – the slayers of Ymir (ruler of the giants) and creators of the first humans – Ask and Embla. The name Bestla in Old Norse means “wife”.
Viking Bestla cruise ship deck plan has a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers served by 50 crew/staff, 4 passenger decks, 1 glass elevator (connecting Main-Upper decks only). The Viking longship Bestla has no gym, pool/whirlpool or spa. Guests may access health & spa facilities at luxury hotels along the Bestla’s itinerary route.
