Viking Buri (built in 2014) is one of the new-generation Viking River Cruises longships on the Saone and Rhone rivers. This France-based river cruise ship is named after Buri, the first god in Norse mythology. According to legend, he had no parents but was created by Audumbla—a giant cow who shaped him from a block of salt. His son Bor (Burr), together with his wife Bestla, fathered the gods Odin, Vili, and Ve. The name “Buri” in Old Norse means “producer.”

Viking Buri's deck plan includes a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers, served by 50 crew and staff. The ship has 4 passenger decks and 1 glass-enclosed elevator (connecting the Main and Upper decks only). The Viking longship Buri does not feature a gym, swimming pool/whirlpool, or spa. Guests may use wellness and spa facilities at luxury hotels along the ship’s itinerary.
