Viking Hervor deck plans

Viking Hervor (built in 2020) is one of the Viking Cruises longships. This large riverboat is named after the Valkyrie Hervor. According to Norse mythology, the fair-haired woman was spinning flax by a lake when Volund (a blacksmith) came and took her as his wife. After seven years of marriage, she was called by the gods and never returned. The Valkyries (“choosers of the slain”), handmaidens of Odin, were female figures granted by the goddess Freya the power to decide which warriors would die in battle and which would live.

Viking Hervor’s deck plan includes a total of 95 staterooms accommodating 190 passengers (served by 50 crew and staff). She has 4 passenger decks (3 with cabins), a 2-story Atrium (glass-roof-covered midship area), and 1 glass-enclosed elevator (connecting the Main and Upper decks only). Public areas include two restaurants (Dining Room and Aquavit Terrace/Lido Buffet), an Observation Lounge and Bar, a Library, and a Foyer (lobby area with Boutique Shop and Reception Desk). The Sun Deck features a Sky Bar (forward-located outdoor seating area with tables and chairs), SkyLight (glass roof over the Atrium), Wheelhouse (Bridge), shaded seating (covered by a large retractable awning and encircled by a walking track), and an aft sundeck with a putting green (mini-golf), organic Herb Garden, and a deck games area (shuffleboard and a giant outdoor chessboard).

The Viking longship Hervor has no self-service laundry facilities (laundromats), fitness/gym room, swimming pool/whirlpool, or spa/beauty salon. Passengers may use health and spa facilities at luxury hotels along her river cruise itinerary route.
