Crystal Cruises’ website redirecting visitors to a claims site

Crystal Cruises’ website is now redirecting visitors to a claims website, set up by Florida-based insolvency assignee Michael Moecker & Associates Inc.

Passengers can download the Consumer Claim Form from the website crystalcruiseclaims.com. There is also a General/Vendor Claim Form. To receive any dividend in the proceedings, a Proof of Claim form has to be completed and delivered to the Assignee with supporting documentation by June 11.

There is an FAQ section, including a mail address for Michael Moecker & Associates.

Crystal announced in January that it was suspending cruise operations. Thе announcement followed parent company GHK-Genting Hong Kong’s bankruptcy protection filings, following months of rumors.

After dramatic diversions to The Bahamas, the company's both ocean ships Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony were arrested, as well as the megayacht Crystal Endeavor.

The brand’s demise was confirmed in February by interim president Jack Anderson.

Meanwhile TICO issued a closure advisory for Crystal.

TICO said that because no one knew how long the consumer claims process would take, or what the level of reimbursement might be, “we advise consumers to file a claim with the Ontario Travel Compensation Fund at the same time to avoid missing the claim filing date (August 12, 2022).”

TICO noted that travel agents might also be eligible to recover commission payments from Crystal Cruises via the claims process and is directing them to the General/Vendor Claim Form.

“The claim would be under the General/Vendor Claim Form option. If necessary, please download the claim form and submit the supporting documentation to the address listed on the form by no later than June 11, 2022.”
