The youngest windjammer/tall-sail ship in Germany will set course for Hamburg for the first time.

Arriving from London, the new Sea Cloud Spirit is expected to moor in downtown Hamburg at ~6 pm on June 16, 2022.

The 138-m, 3-masted full-rigged ship is Sea Cloud Cruises' 3rd luxury boat that was commissioned 6 months ago. Since 2022, Sea Cloud Cruises is a fully-owned subsidiary of Ritz-Carlton.

The premier voyage will take the 3-master from London-Tilbury (England) via Isle of Wight (England), Ostend (Belgium), and Antwerp (Belgium). During the sailing, the boat's lounge will be transformed into a concert hall. Via cooperation with the grand piano manufacturer Steinway & Sons, the pianists Arash Rokni and Cunmo Yin, outstanding artists from the Steinway Prizewinner Concerts Network will give performances onboard.

Following an extended day of North Sea cruising, the voyage upstream to Hamburg starts in the Elbe River's estuary (off Cuxhaven) on June 16. The last stretch up the stream into Hamburg is considered one of the world's most beautiful harbor entrances.

Passengers on the premiere voyage will be invited to concerts in the Great Hall of the Elbphilharmonie. The NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra will perform works by Bruckner and Mozart.
