Again COVID-positive passengers on Princess Cruises' ship Ruby Princess

   April 27, 2022 ,   Accidents

For the 3rd time this year, the same Princess Cruises ship docked in California with guests who tested COVID-positive.

Ruby Princess arrived at Port San Francisco California USA on April 11 after a voyage to Hawaii in which 143 passengers onboard tested positive for the virus. 70+ people were found to have COVID in March while on the same cruise ship after Ruby Princess returned from a 15-day Panama Canal cruise. In January, a total of 12 guests arriving in San Francisco after a 10-day Mexico trip on Ruby Princess were found to have COVID after being randomly tested.

According to San Francisco's health department, everyone aboard the Hawaii trip had been vaccinated and the people who tested positive had shown mild/no symptoms.

In a statement, the department said that only one person had been hospitalized.
