The ultra-luxury expedition travel cruise company Seabourn officially received its second expedition ship, Seabourn Pursuit, in a grand ceremony held at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy.

Natalya Leahy (Seabourn's President) expressed her delight in welcoming their newest ship into the fleet and praised the exceptional craftsmanship of Mariotti's team and Tihany's captivating design. The ship sets new standards for ultra-luxury expedition travel, and Leahy extended her gratitude to Mariotti and Tihany Design for making their dream come true for the guests.

The 10-deck Seabourn Pursuit promises to offer the perfect blend of luxury and expedition experiences. Leahy emphasized that the ship combines the well-known signature luxury and elegance of Seabourn with a world of exploration and adventure. Designed to cater to extraordinary individuals seeking out-of-the-ordinary experiences, the ship will deliver Seabourn's renowned ultra-luxury style and personalized service while taking guests to awe-inspiring destinations that are rarely accessible to most.

Marco Ghiglione, Managing Director of T. Mariotti, expressed immense pride in delivering Seabourn Pursuit, following the success of her sistership Seabourn Venture (delivered in 2022). He lauded the vessel as a remarkable ultra-luxury expedition ship and a masterpiece of Italian shipbuilding, reinforcing the shipyard's leadership in this sector.

Seabourn Pursuit offers the same luxurious "yacht-like" small ship experience that Seabourn is famous for, enhanced by state-of-the-art equipment that enables a wide range of expedition activities led by a 24-person expert expedition team, comprising scientists, scholars, naturalists, and more. The ship is designed and built to meet PC6 Polar Class standards, is equipped for diverse environments, and features modern technology to extend its global deployment and capabilities. With ~30,000 ft2 (2787 m2) of deck space, the vessel provides a wealth of indoor and outdoor guest areas offering almost 270-degree views. Notably, it boasts a 4K GSS Cineflex Camera mounted on the mast of the Constellation Lounge, broadcasting imagery from miles ahead to monitors throughout the ship and guest suites.

Seabourn Pursuit, like other ships in the Seabourn fleet, offers abundant space, elegance, eight gourmet dining facilities, and luxurious all-suite accommodations, including two-level Wintergarden suites.

The ship is scheduled to commence service on August 12th, 2023, with 5 voyages in the Mediterranean before embarking on 2 voyages across the Atlantic and through the Caribbean. On October 10th, 2023, Pursuit will embark on her expedition journey, taking guests to remote corners of the world. These expeditions will explore coastal South America, the Amazon, and Antarctica until late March 2024.

Following the inaugural Antarctic season, Seabourn Pursuit will traverse the islands of the South Pacific, eventually reaching Australia, where the line will embark on its first exploration of the Kimberley region in the Northern Territory and Western Australia from June to August 2024. In addition to the Kimberley, the ship will visit Papua New Guinea, West Papua, and Indonesia, and sail across the South Pacific between Chile and Melanesia from March to October 2024.
