Seabourn, the trailblazer in ultra-luxury voyages and expedition travel, marked a historic occasion as Seabourn Pursuit and Seabourn Venture, the line's two new ultra-luxury purpose-built expedition ships, sailed in tandem for the first time.
This momentous meeting occurred at the entrance to the picturesque Neko Harbor, surrounded by majestic icescapes, to commemorate Seabourn Pursuit's inaugural season in Antarctica. To honor this historic rendezvous, guests and crew members gathered on the expansive bow of each ship, where caviar and champagne were elegantly served.
Currently undertaking her maiden season in Antarctica, Seabourn Pursuit is joined by Seabourn Venture, embarking on her second season on the icy continent. Both vessels are set to operate 11- to 13-day voyages to Antarctica, as well as 21-day voyages to South Georgia, Falkland Islands, and Antarctica. These meticulously crafted itineraries feature inclusive Zodiac outings, offering guests the opportunity to navigate among icebergs, observe penguin colonies up close, and partake in walks and hikes across pristine, rarely-seen landscapes led by the ship's Expedition Team. Optional excursions such as kayaking and submarine explorations are also available.
Launched in 2022 and 2023, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit embody the luxurious small-ship experience synonymous with Seabourn, enriched by state-of-the-art equipment that enables a diverse range of expedition activities led by an expert 24-person expedition team comprising elite scientists, scholars, naturalists, and more. Constructed to PC6 Polar Class standards, the ships feature modern hardware and technology, boasting close to 30,000 square feet of deck space, unique touches throughout, and guest areas with nearly 270-degree views, both indoors and outdoors. The Constellation Lounge is equipped with a 4K GSS Cineflex Camera mounted on the mast, capable of broadcasting imagery from miles ahead on monitors situated throughout the ship and in guest suites.
Furthermore, enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity is provided through SpaceX's Starlink, ensuring expedition guests benefit from faster service, improved connectivity, and more reliable Wi-Fi wherever Starlink's services are accessible.
In keeping with the Seabourn tradition, Seabourn Pursuit and Seabourn Venture offer an abundance of space and elegance, presenting eight dining experiences featuring gourmet cuisine, and luxurious all-suite accommodations, including a pair of 2-level Wintergarden suites.
