Silversea Announces 2018 World Cruise

The 2018 world cruise of Silversea is a 121-day voyage out of Los Angeles to Civitavecchia-Rome that calls at 60 destinations in 21 different countries. 17 overnight calls and 13 late-night stays provide travelers with more time to immerse in local cultures.

Silver Whisper will depart on January 6 on 'La Grande Bellezza,' across the Pacific to Hawaii, French Polynesia, New Zealand, and then through Java Sea to Bali, Probolinggo, Semarang, Borneo, islands in The Philippines.

After 2 nights in Hong Kong and overnights in Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok and Singapore, the ship will follow the route of ancient spice traders to India, Oman and Sri Lanka. The voyage continues through the Red Sea to gateways to Luxor and Petra, Greece islands and along the coast of Italy to Rome.

Academics, journalists, diplomats, destination experts and other specialists feature in Silversea's enrichment program. Cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, regional specialties and local entertainment will ensure further destination immersion.
