The UK-based A-ROSA River Cruises has expanded its excursion program for the 2024 season, adding 50+ new excursions to its offerings and bringing the total number of tours to 650+.

The updated program includes a variety of experiences, from city sightseeing tours and visits to places of interest to unique and exclusive activities. Noteworthy additions feature opportunities such as enjoying a personally prepared lunch by a countess on the Douro River.

To provide guests with more flexibility and value, A-ROSA has introduced a new discount of up to 15% off the excursion price when three or more excursions are pre-booked in advance.

Among the highlights of the new excursions on the Douro River are visits to Quinta da Pacheca, a renowned winery dating back to the 16th century, and exclusive experiences at the estate of Countess Maria Manuel Cyrne, where guests can enjoy a tour followed by a special Portuguese lunch personally prepared by the countess.

In the new for Arosa port Vlissingen, guests can indulge in a unique flight experience for two, providing a bird’s eye view of the picturesque landscapes including rolling hills, windmills, and farmland.

On the Danube River, guests can explore the historic Godollo Castle near Budapest, once the summer residence of Empress Elisabeth of Austria and her husband King Franz Joseph I.

For travelers cruising on the Rhone River, a new exclusive tour for up to 6 people offers an exploration of the Ardeche region, including a visit to a Chateau to meet wine growers and indulge in a tasting experience.

Lucia Rowe (managing director at A-ROSA River Cruises UK & Ireland) said there was really something for everyone and hey had also introduced an additional saving of up to 15% off the excursion price if 3/more are pre-booked.

"As always, flexibility is at the heart of everything we do so guests can choose to join a group tour, opt for a more exclusive tour or choose an individual tour just for them. They can of course also step off the ship and explore independently should they wish.”
