Princess Cruises unveils a suite of new culinary offerings aboard the Sun Princess, enhancing the onboard dining experience for passengers.
A highlight among these additions is the introduction of Spellbound by Magic Castle, part of Princess Cruises' innovative 'Extraordinary Experiences' series. Held in an exclusive section of the Horizons Dining Room, guests will indulge in a shared dinner before being whisked away to the Spellbound Bar. Magicians affiliated with the renowned Magic Castle private club in Los Angeles will dazzle guests with illusions in themed settings, while servers astound with sleight-of-hand cocktail delivery. This enchanting experience will be offered three times nightly at 5pm, 7pm, and 9pm, with limited availability.
Another notable addition is Kai Sushi by Makoto Okuwa, a collaboration with esteemed Chef Makoto Okuwa, known for his expertise in Edomae-style sushi. Chef Okuwa, with restaurants spanning the USA, Brazil, Mexico, and Panama, has been honored by the James Beard Foundation for his culinary contributions.
In addition, former personal chef to the British royal family, Chef Darren McGrady, will curate a Royal Afternoon Tea in Sun Princess' Good Spirits at Sea Lounge. Guests will enjoy a selection of teas paired with traditional accompaniments, while Chef McGrady shares anecdotes and insights.
Renowned French winemaker Gerard Bertrand will host an exclusive wine tasting session onboard, featuring a curated selection of wines complemented by visual presentations detailing the regions of origin.
Princess Cruises, in collaboration with the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), introduces revamped menus for the Horizons Dining Room, tailored for Sun Princess' inaugural Mediterranean season. A team of CIA chefs will be onboard to train the galley team in preparing these exclusive dishes.
Furthermore, Princess has partnered with Four Sixes Ranch Brand Beef to offer their premium beef steaks across the ship, sourced from the company's network of ranches in the USA.
With a total of 30 dining and lounge venues, including the iconic three-story Horizons restaurant, Sun Princess promises an exceptional culinary journey for guests.
