Bulgarian cruise ship collides with wall in Austrian sluice, injuring passengers

A Bulgaria-flagged cruise vessel, carrying over a hundred passengers, collided with a concrete wall in a sluice on the River Danube in Austria, as reported by local authorities.

The incident occurred overnight in Aschach an der Donau, a northern Austrian town. 

11 individuals sustained injuries and were transported to hospitals, while 6 others suffered minor injuries not requiring medical attention.

The ship, with ~160 passengers on board, was en route from Bavaria Germany to Linz Austria.

Despite the collision, the vessel managed to proceed with its journey.

Details regarding the severity of injuries and the cause of the accident remain unclear.

The River Danube is renowned for its cultural and historical significance, drawing numerous tourists annually to cruise along its waters.
