Princess Cruises has confirmed that Royal Princess will embark on her inaugural Southeast Asia deployment in October 2026, establishing Singapore as her homeport for two voyages prior to transitioning to Australia.
On September 19th, 2026, upon completing her Alaskan season, the vessel will commence a 26-night Southeast Asia–Japan–Alaska Grand Adventure Cruise. Departing from Seattle, the itinerary includes calls at Juneau, College Fjord, and Whittier—with passage by Hubbard Glacier—before continuing across the International Date Line toward Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam. The voyage concludes with Royal Princess’s first arrival in Singapore on October 16th. Passengers may also join for the second segment: a 13-night sailing beginning on October 4th from Yokohama and calling at Shimizu, Osaka, Keelung (Taipei), Hong Kong, and Chan May (Vietnam), reaching Singapore thereafter.
Once in Singapore, Royal Princess—measuring 142,714 gross tons with accommodations for 3,560 guests and built in Italy—will enter dry dock for a 2-week maintenance period. Emerging on November 1st, the ship will commence a 9-night Southeast Asia cruise, visiting Ho Chi Minh City and offering an overnight stay in Bangkok before voyaging to Koh Samui. Following that, she will undertake a 13-night Southeast Asia cruise departing on November 10th that includes a call at Lombok, Indonesia. These two sailings may be combined into a 22-night Southeast Asia & Australia itinerary, which continues on to Darwin, Yorkeys Knob, and Brisbane before arriving in Sydney on November 25th.
Built by Fincantieri and launched in 2013, Royal Princess retains several hallmark design features such as the glass-enclosed “SeaWalk” walkways projecting over the ship’s sides, multiple swimming pools, a dancing water fountain, nightclub, pizzeria, Italian trattoria, and a 24-hour international café, alongside original musical productions and numerous entertainment lounges. These amenities underscore her enduring role in Princess Cruises’ premium fleet.
This announcement aligns with Princess Cruises’ broader expansion in Asia: Discovery Princess is scheduled for her maiden call to Singapore in October for a brief Malaysian cruise, while Sapphire Princess and Diamond Princess will homeport in Japan for the first time in 2027 after concluding their Singapore season from December 2026 to February 2027. Additionally, Diamond Princess will return to Singapore between December 2025 and February 2026, offering 10 to 12-day sailings that visit destinations across Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam—all signifying a marked enhancement of Princess Cruises’ presence in the region.
