MSC Cruises has announced that MSC Magnifica will replace the MSC Musica as the vessel for its 2027 World Cruise. This decision follows plans for a significant refurbishment of Magnifica in 2025-Q4, aimed at enhancing guest experiences for the extensive 121-night global voyage.
Scheduled to depart in early January 2027 from European ports including Italy, Spain, and France, Magnifica will visit 45 destinations across 25 countries. The itinerary includes 7 overnight stays in key cities such as Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Sydney NSW, and Tahiti, allowing passengers extended time to explore these locations.
A notable addition to MSC Magnifica is the MSC Yacht Club, marking the first time this premium suite enclave will be available on a Musica-class ship. Set to debut in early 2026, the Yacht Club will span five decks and feature 63 suites (in five categories), including the expansive Royal Suite. Amenities will include a private sundeck with a pool, a dedicated lounge, and an exclusive restaurant offering a curated menu.
The refurbishment will also encompass enhancements to the wellness complex, introducing a redesigned MSC Aurea Spa and a new Technogym-powered fitness center.
While Magnifica is also scheduled to operate MSC's 2026 World Cruise, the Yacht Club facilities will not be available until the 2027 season, aligning with the completion of the refurbishment.
This strategic move underscores MSC's commitment to enhancing its fleet and providing elevated experiences for its passengers on long-haul voyages.
