Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities
MSC Magnifica deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2026-2027-2028 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by MSC Cruises deckplan pdf (printable version).
Each of the MSC Magnifica cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on MSC Magnifica staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.
MSC Magnifica (2010-built, last refurbished in October-December 2025, stretched in 2021) is the fourth and final Musica-class MSC cruise ship, along with Musica, Orchestra, and Poesia.
The MSC Magnifica deck plan includes 1253 staterooms for 2506 passengers (maximum capacity 3007), served by 1040 crew. The ship has 16 decks (13 accessible to passengers, 8 with cabins), 6 dining venues (restaurants and food bars), 17 lounges and bars, 3 swimming pools (including the sliding-roof-covered “La Grotta Azzurra”), 8 outdoor Jacuzzis, and 20 elevators.
MSC Magnifica’s decks are named after well-known Italian Riviera port towns.
MSC Magnifica deckplan changes – 2021 refurbishment
In 2021, the vessel underwent a USD 140 million reconstruction and refurbishment project. The ship was stretched by 23 m (76 ft) through the insertion of a pre-fabricated midship section (hull and superstructure).
Following the January–March 2021 drydock, MSC Magnifica gained 215 additional cabins (including 92 with balconies), a new Aqua Park with waterslide, a fully redesigned children’s playground, two new restaurants, and a larger shopping complex. The number of staterooms increased from 1259 to 1774.
The refit added 7000 m2 (75,350 ft2) of onboard space. The ship’s machinery was upgraded with advanced maritime technologies, including SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), AWT (Advanced Wastewater Treatment), and shoreside power capability.
"MSC for Me" Digital Innovation Program (2017–2018)
All MSC cruise ships are being fitted with thousands of connectivity points, digital access nodes, iBeacons (Bluetooth), and hundreds of interactive digital screens. RFID (radio-frequency identification) and NFC (near-field communication) technologies are implemented in all staterooms for keyless access.
The program is rolled out fleetwide, with the first fully equipped vessel being MSC Meraviglia (launched June 2017). The ship features 114 interactive screens, 244 information screens, 31 virtual screens, 81 video wall monitors, 2244 NFC-enabled cabins, 3050 iBeacons, 700 wireless access points, and 1200 CCTV cameras.
Key features of the MSC digitalization program include:
- Use of Samsung-powered facial recognition and smart interactive bracelets.
- Digital Concierge app allowing real-time booking of onboard services, restaurants, and shore excursions; available 24 hours and connected directly to MSC staff.
- Capture – a virtual reality tool for previewing itineraries, creating photo galleries, and sharing content.
- Organizer – a cruise planning tool accessible on mobile devices, providing detailed information and enabling pre-cruise and onboard reservations (tours, theater seating, dining, etc.).
- Navigation – an interactive wayfinding map showing scheduled events, venue opening hours, and directions; includes real-time kids’ location monitoring via bracelets.
- TailorMade – a digital advisor offering personalized recommendations based on passenger preferences (gaming, dining, entertainment, recreation, etc.).
- All passengers may opt out of these connected (“Internet of Things” / IoT) services at any time.
