Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities
MSC Seaside deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2026-2027-2028 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by MSC Cruises deckplan pdf (printable version).
Each of the MSC Seaside cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on MSC Seaside staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.
MSC Seaside (2017-built) is the first of three identical, revolutionary new-design and largest MSC cruise ships developed under the company’s “Seaside Project.” Her sistership is MSC Seaview (2018). Next in line are MSC’s four Vista-project vessels (passenger capacity ~4500, tonnage 167,600 GT), of which only MSC Meraviglia has been named so far.
The MSC Seaside deck plan shows 2066 staterooms for 4134 passengers (maximum capacity 5336), served by 1413 crew/staff (759 crew cabins). The ship has 19 decks, of which 16 are passenger-accessible and 10 contain cabins.
MSC Seaside’s decks are named after famous resort beaches.
Key features of the ship include:
- Seaview glass elevators (portside), connecting quickly to upper deck outdoor areas. Both walls and floors are made of thick transparent glass.
- A lower-positioned Lido / Pool Deck featuring a sea-level Waterfront Promenade encircling the ship, enclosed by a glass wall. The Promenade offers multiple duty-free shops and dining venues with outdoor seating (bars, restaurants, alfresco eateries).
- Terraced cabins overlooking the Promenade Deck.
- Outdoor wellness facilities (spa and fitness), including luxury cabanas for open-air spa treatments and two wellness cabins equipped with Kinesis Technogym equipment.
- 463,000 ft² / 43,000 m² of public areas.
- A double-deck Atrium with a sea-view transparent glass wall.
- Three catwalks with glass railings and glass floors extending beyond the ship’s edge. The top-deck catwalk rises 100 ft / 30 m above sea level, while the two Deck 8 catwalks (130 ft / 40 m each) form part of the fully encircling outdoor promenade.
- A top-deck zip line (130 m / 426 ft long) – the longest at sea.
- New stateroom grades, including luxury cruise suites with Jacuzzi tubs on their private balconies, and interconnecting family cabins. Of all MSC Seaside staterooms, 6% are Suites and 72% are Balcony cabins.
- An expanded, enhanced MSC Yacht Club complex featuring a private lounge, solarium, and swimming pool.
- A 950-seat theater, 5D cinema, 6 restaurants, 10 lounge bars (20 bars total), and 6 swimming pools.
- Nine eateries, including a Pan-Asian restaurant (in partnership with Roy Yamaguchi), a premium steakhouse, and a luxury seafood restaurant with a Chef’s Table/private dining room.
- The largest kids’ play area in the MSC fleet, featuring a LEGO playroom for special activities (the “LEGO Experience at Sea”), developed in partnership with The LEGO Group. Age-appropriate programs include LEGO DUPLO (ages 3+), Classic LEGO bricks with a Vertical Play Wall (ages 7–11), and “Building Happening” themed builds (ages 6–11).
- A large interactive Aqua Park with five high-tech waterslides and innovative attractions for all ages.
The new-design MSC ships also feature enhanced onboard programming, including the DOREBRO sports program for kids and teens, a new theater show lineup, and the DOREMI Chef interactive cooking class led by a Michelin-starred chef.
Highlights of the ship’s extensive multi-deck water park include:
- Slideboarding – a two-deck-high waterslide that combines a real slide with video-game interaction. Guests race down a 367 ft / 112 m slide on rafts equipped with embedded controllers. The goal is to match raft-button colors to the slide’s flashing lights. The smart system identifies riders, tracks performance, and displays scores.
- Duelling High-Speed AquaTubes – twin racing slides (525 ft / 160 m long) featuring twists, turns, and drops.
- Clear slide loops extending over the ship’s sides, allowing brief panoramic views of the ocean below.
- AquaPlay and AquaSpray zones for toddlers and young children. AquaPlay offers tipping buckets, spray cannons, water jets, a rain tree, and a mini-slide. AquaSpray features interactive elements including jets, waterfalls, and small forts.
- The Aqua Park was built by WhiteWater West Industries (Canada), a global leader in waterpark attractions.
Connected directly to the waterpark, Adventure Trail is MSC Seaside’s next-generation ropes course. It allows guests to navigate between bridges, towers, climbs, crawl-through elements, and parts of the waterslide structure while enjoying elevated sea views. Participants are also exposed to “water attacks” from friends and family members operating AquaSpray cannons.
