Cunard Line has reported a notable surge in bookings following the launch of its 2027 program, revealing a 55% increase in nights booked during the first week compared to the equivalent period for the 2026 launch.
Both the UK market and North America contributed to this growth, with bookings rising by nearly 50% in the UK and more than doubling in North America.
Demand for the ultra-luxury Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites has more than doubled over the same period last year, signalling renewed interest in Cunard’s premium offerings.
The historic transatlantic crossings scheduled for RMS Queen Mary 2 remain a strong draw, anchoring Cunard’s traditional excellence and appeal across global markets.
Cunard will operate 195 new itineraries (April 2027 through January 2028), covering 115 destinations in 32 countries, including 93 UNESCO-listed sites. The summer program includes 18 overnight port stays and 33 late-evening departures. For the first time since 2018, three Cunard Queens will sail roundtrips from Southampton, increasing UK departures by over 50%.
Katie McAlister, Cunard’s president, credited the successful launch response to enduring guest loyalty and the value they continue to seek in the “Cunard experience,” especially within the luxury Grills category.
The strong early bookings reflect Cunard’s strategy of releasing forward programs well in advance—launching the winter 2027 season in October 2024—to capture demand early and improve revenue forecasting.
