The FBI has initiated an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that reportedly occurred aboard Carnival Breeze during a 4-day cruise from Galveston, Texas (July 24-28, 2025).
The voyage included a stop in Cozumel, and the incident was brought to the attention of federal authorities upon docking back in Galveston.
FBI Houston confirmed awareness of the allegations and stated that a Maritime Liaison Agent based in the Texas City Resident Agency is coordinating the investigation with USCG/Coast Guard, Customs and Border Protection, and Carnival Cruise Line/CCL.
No additional details are being released at this time due to the ongoing nature of the case.
CCL has not issued a public statement regarding the incident, other than confirming that it reported the matter to the proper federal authorities for further handling.
