Crystal Cruises has opened reservations for its winter and spring 2028 programme aboard Crystal Serenity, outlining a sequence of voyages that extend from January through April and encompass warm-water cruising in the Caribbean and Central America, an extended Amazon River expedition, and a seasonal transatlantic crossing to the Azores. The deployment is structured to conclude with Serenity arriving in Lisbon, where the vessel will enter dry dock for scheduled enhancements before future operations.
The early season from Fort Lauderdale comprises round-trip sailings into the Caribbean, with calls at ports including the British Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Cartagena, Colombia, and Puerto Limón, Costa Rica. These itineraries are designed to balance time at sea with extended periods ashore, supporting guided excursions, cultural visits and exploration of coastal and tropical environments.
In February, Crystal Serenity is scheduled to operate a 25-day voyage along the Amazon River, with landings in Manaus and smaller riverside communities, offering access to ecosystems and communities rarely visited by large ocean vessels. Adjacent sailings may be combined with this expedition to form an extended Caribbean Circle Grand Voyage that spans multiple islands and countries in Central America and the Caribbean basin.
March itineraries maintain a focus on warm-water destinations, with scheduled calls in Cartagena, Roatán, Honduras, and Belize, while April voyages include stops in Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos and the Dominican Republic before the ship undertakes a transatlantic crossing to the Azores timed to coincide with the spring migration of several baleen whale species. Serenity’s season is planned to end in Lisbon.
Alongside Serenity’s season, Crystal Cruises has also announced plans for a new vessel, Crystal Grace, which is scheduled to make its inaugural voyage on June 11th, 2028, departing from Rome. After a Mediterranean summer, the new ship will proceed across the Atlantic to New York for itineraries along the U.S. Northeast and Canada before returning to the Caribbean; bookings for Grace are expected to open in April 2026, with early interest gathering on a waiting list.
The 2028 itinerary offerings reflect a programme designed to link a variety of geographic regions — from the tropical waters of the Caribbean and the biodiverse expanse of the Amazon to the cooler North Atlantic environment of the Azores — while maintaining a rhythm of extended port visits and periods at sea suited to paced travel.
