MSC Cruises has commenced bookings for the MSC Magnifica 115-night world cruise, a circumnavigation scheduled for departure in January 2028 that will visit more than 40 destinations in 29 countries across multiple continents. The vessel is undergoing an extensive refurbishment that is expected to be completed by year’s end, including enhancements to public spaces and the introduction of the ship’s MSC Yacht Club.
The world voyage will originate from several Mediterranean embarkation points, with Magnifica positioned to sail from Civitavecchia and Genoa in Italy, Marseille in France, or Barcelona in Spain in early January. These varied departure dates and ports provide flexibility for embarkation ahead of the long east-bound itinerary.
The extended itinerary is planned to include a series of overnight and daytime calls at major and emerging ports around the globe. Among the ports highlighted for overnight stays are Lima in Peru, Papeete in Tahiti, Sydney in Australia, and Hanoi in Vietnam—locations selected to balance cultural, scenic and regional diversity throughout the voyage. The range of new and scheduled calls encompasses destinations such as Nuku’alofa in Tonga, Manta in Ecuador, Arica in Chile, Callao near Lima, Chan May in central Vietnam, Sihanoukville in Cambodia, Grand Turk Island in the Turks and Caicos, and Puerto Limón in Costa Rica.
In support of the world cruise booking launch, MSC Cruises confirmed that ticketing includes a suite of onboard benefits intended to streamline the extended passage. These amenities comprise a set number of complimentary shore excursions, an inclusive dining and beverage package, and a reduction in laundry service charges. Members of the MSC Voyagers Club Classic tier are eligible for access to the ship’s exclusive MSC Yacht Club, which provides dedicated services and private facilities for an elevated experience during the global voyage.
Magnifica itself carries a broad array of guest facilities consistent with long-duration cruising, including multiple restaurants, bars and lounges, a theatre and casino, an MSC Aurea Spa, fitness areas and sport facilities—features aligned with the extended itinerary and varied cultural and recreational objectives of the world cruise programme.
