Dream Cruises launched Forever Broadway aboard Genting Dream on June 5th, introducing a new musical production as part of the brand’s 10th anniversary programme. Developed in collaboration with Broadway Asia International, the show brings a selection of well-known musical theatre numbers to sea through a production created specifically for the cruise environment.

A preview performance was staged during the vessel’s call in Singapore for media representatives and industry partners. Families associated with the Singapore Red Cross and volunteers were also invited aboard as part of community outreach activities.

StarDream Cruises President Michael Goh stated that live entertainment continues to evolve and that guests increasingly seek familiar experiences presented in new formats. He noted that the partnership with Broadway Asia International combined Broadway talent, resident performers and the company’s production resources to create an exclusive entertainment offering for guests.

The production features songs including New York, New York, Dancing Queen, Grease Lightning, Tonight and On Broadway. These have been adapted for shipboard presentation through choreography, theatrical staging, visual effects and specially recorded orchestral arrangements created for Genting Dream.

Broadway Asia International founder and creative producer Simone Genatt described the production as a high-energy musical revue designed exclusively for Genting Dream. She indicated that the show was intended to combine Broadway-style entertainment with the onboard experience of Dream Cruises while celebrating the brand’s anniversary milestone. She further noted that the production brought together a curated selection of internationally recognised musical theatre works adapted for audiences sailing in Asia.

The project was developed under the direction of StarDream Cruises’ entertainment leadership team, including Senior Vice President Colin Kerr and Vice President Sviatlana Burkun, who initiated the collaboration with Broadway Asia International. The creative team also includes Broadway producers Simone Genatt and Marc Routh, director and choreographer James Gray, and associate director and choreographer Naomi Kakuk. The cast combines performers from New York and London with entertainers drawn from the Dream Cruises and StarCruises fleets.

In support of the production, Dream Cruises partnered with Singapore’s Design Orchard and fashion brands Bohème by Véro, Frey and Raja Rani for selected costume elements. The show also incorporates a fashion runway segment, while related merchandise is available for purchase aboard the vessel.

Forever Broadway is now being presented exclusively aboard Genting Dream as part of the vessel’s entertainment programme and the wider celebrations marking a decade of Dream Cruises operations.
