NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line has completed extensive guest-focused enhancements aboard Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem, introducing several signature venues and wellness facilities as part of its ongoing programme to standardise the onboard experience across the fleet. The upgrades include the addition of the adults-only Vibe Beach Club, expanded facilities within the Mandara Spa and Salon, and a range of new amenities based on guest feedback.
Marc Kazlauskas, President of Norwegian Cruise Line, stated that the refurbishments reflect the company's commitment to responding to guest preferences while extending some of the fleet's most popular concepts to additional vessels. He noted that the enhancements are intended to provide greater consistency across the fleet and offer guests more opportunities to personalise their cruise experience through dedicated relaxation areas and adults-only outdoor spaces.
Among the principal additions is the Vibe Beach Club, now available aboard both ships. Located on Deck 14, the adults-only venue replaces the previous sundeck and features panoramic sea views, a private full-service bar, more than 50 premium loungers, an additional whirlpool and seven private cabanas available for reservation.
Norwegian Cruise Line has also completed a comprehensive redesign of the Thermal Suite within the Mandara Spa and Salon. The refurbished wellness areas now offer three times as many heated tile loungers, upgraded steam rooms and saunas, a redesigned reception area, and new facilities including charcoal saunas, salt rooms, ice rooms, IV lounges and Four Senses loungers.
Additional enhancements vary between the two vessels. Norwegian Jade has received new experiential showers featuring multiple water jets and lighting effects, together with a cold-water plunge pool. Norwegian Gem now offers an upgraded whirlpool and a refurbished thalassotherapy pool equipped with massage jets, bubble loungers and counter-current features. A licensed Starbucks outlet has also been added aboard Norwegian Jade, completing the coffee brand's rollout across Norwegian Cruise Line's fleet and private destinations.
During the 2026 season, Norwegian Jade continues to operate 7-day Alaska itineraries between Vancouver and Whittier (Anchorage), including scenic cruising through the Inside Passage and calls at Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Icy Strait Point. At the same time, Norwegian Gem is deployed on Mediterranean and Greek Isles cruises from Civitavecchia and Ravenna, visiting ports including Cannes, Livorno, Split, Dubrovnik and several Greek islands. Later in the year, Norwegian Gem will reposition to Tampa for Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries, while Norwegian Jade is scheduled to return to Asia for a programme of regional cruises.
The refurbishments form part of Norwegian Cruise Line's broader fleet enhancement strategy, aimed at introducing a more consistent onboard product while modernising guest facilities across its existing ships.
