The global maritime mobile operator Telenor Maritime announced the introduction of a mobile ecosystem aboard Silversea's fleet. Global VSAT services, mobile broadband backhaul, Wi-Fi, 3G, and digital services supporting the digital value chain vastly enhancing the guest experience, with speeds up to 150Mb/s.
According to Frode Stoldal, CEO of Telenor Maritime, for the first time, cruise passengers can truly use their mobile devices just like at home, with no constraints on Apps like YouTube, Facebook, or even Netflix.
