Virgin Voyages confirmed that its first cruise ship Scarlet Lady will sail to the UK and hinted that the vessel will visit more than one seaport. The announcement was made at CLIA Conference in Portsmouth UK on May 16, by Virgin Voyages’s president and chief executive Tom McAlpin. Virgin Group founder Richard Branson surprisingly appeared on stage together with McAlpin.
The 2,770-passenger newbuild makes her debut sailing from Miami FL to the Caribbean in 2020. The adults-only ship will be coming to the UK in March 2020 as the ship sails to the US, McAlpin shared.
