MSC Cruises reached the 20 million passenger mark. The largest, privately-owned cruise line in the world celebrated this past weekend a key milestone in the history of the Swiss-based company, welcoming its 20 millionth guest onboard the Miami-based MSC Seaside ship.

The achievement is a testament to MSC expansion since its establishment in 2003, quickly becoming one of the global players with one of the highest growth rates in the cruise industry and the introduction of a total of 16 cruise ships over 16 years. In 2019 alone, MSC Cruises will have launched 2 new liners - MSC Bellissima (March) and MSC Grandiosa (November).

MSC maintains a foothold as the fastest growing cruise line in the world with an ambitious US$20.5 billion CAD investment plan in place, that will introduce 17 ships between 2017-2027, bringing the fleet to 29 vessels.

MSC Cruises’ 20 millionth cruiser, Raul Bonachea, his wife and daughter, from Winter Haven FL, are currently sailing onboard MSC Seaside for a 7-night voyage that departed from Miami on June 29.
