The Port Authority of Genoa is searching for a 75 year old cruise passenger. The woman disappeared Sunday night from the MSC Opera ship arriving to Genoa from Civitavecchia-Rome.

Repubblica.it reported that the woman had not been aboard when the MSC cruise ship Opera arrived in Genoa.

Two helicopters and three coast guard patrol boats were deployed for search and rescue.

This latest overboard passenger incident happened on the same night when a 43-yo woman went overboard from the Windstar Cruises ship Star Breeze (formerly Seabourn Spirit) in Italian waters. Fortunately, she was rescued when the ship turned around.
