Viking River Cruises announced new details about its 2020 season, which is expected to see the addition of 4 new ships custom built to navigate River Seine in the heart of Paris.

Inspired by the award-winning Viking Longships, the 4 identical newbuilds will debut next year. They all will be deployed on Viking’s 8-day "Paris and the Heart of Normandy" itinerary by 2021.

Accommodating 168 passengers in 84 staterooms, the brand new Seine Ships – Viking Radgrid, Viking Skaga, Viking Fjorgyn, and Viking Kari – will be smaller than the Longships, but will boast many of the same popular features, such as an Aquavit Terrace, a variety of stateroom choices, onboard solar panels, and Viking’s signature Scandinavian design. Specifically designed to navigate the Seine River, the 4 ships will dock in the centre of Paris, next to the Eiffel Tower.
