Strengthening the position of Port Dubai UAE as the leading "cruise hub of the region", the cruise port handled 6 international passenger ships on December 29, 2019, at Mina Rashid Terminal.
The cruise terminal received 60,000+ cruise tourists frmo the liners Pullmantur Horizon, Mein Schiff 5, MSC Lirica, MS Karnika, Jewel of the Seas and Costa Diadema.
The 2019-2020 cruise season will see increased efforts to promote cruise tourism in the region by Dubai Cruise Committee, comprising Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, DP World UAE Region, operator of Mina Rashid Cruise Terminal, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, Dubai Customs, Emirates Airlines, and leading industry partners.
