   February 18, 2020 ,   Cruise Industry

The cruiseferry company Corsica Linea signed a long-term charter deal for Stena Superfast X ship. The cruiseferry will be first drydock refitted (in March-April 2020), during which will be added 100+ additional cabins. Stena Superfast X will serve the routes linking Corsica Island with Marseille and North Africa. The ferry will be also renamed "A Nepita".

The additional staterooms means that the cruise ship will be operated as a "night’ ferry". The vessel will be also reflagged to France and fitted with SOx scrubbers (air pollution control devices). The drydock will be in Greece.

Currently, the 2002-built ship has a max-capacity 1200 passengers and 500 cars, and operates on the Ireland-Wales ferry route Dublin-Holyhead (crossing time 3 hours).
