VIDEO: Car-passenger ferry ship Dharma Rucitra 3 capsizes while docking in Bali Indonesia

KMP Dharma Rucitra 3 ferry (IMO 8904939), which rests in Port Padangbai (Padang Bai, Bali Indonesia) capsized at ~10:30 PM Friday night, June 12. Reportedly, the list had been caused by vehicles shift.

The Ro-Pax ship (car and passenger ferry) developed heavy list starboard and capsized while docking at Padangbai on arrival from Lembar, Lombok island. The vessel suddenly tilted, passengers scattered and jumped into the sea in panic.

At the time of the accident, the Indonesia-flagged ship Darma Rucitra 3 had 43 passengers and 19 crew onboard. All passengers have been successfully evacuated. A total of 35 vehicles still remain trapped onboard. The removal of the ship continues to be pursued. According to the evacuation plan, the ferry will be carried out Saturday with tugboat assistance.
