Following a successful restart of its European itineraries after the COVID lockdown, the river cruise company VIVA Cruises announced it is expanding cruise offerings for 2021.
VIVA is continuing with the programs on the riverboats MS Treasures and MS Inspire. The 2019-refurbished boat MS Swiss Diamond is joining the VIVA Cruises fleet in 2021, resuming the line’s Baltic voyages.
The addition of MS Swiss Diamond and the reintroduction of VIVA itineraries along the Baltic Coast are among the highlights of the 2021 program. The 123-passenger Swiss Diamond was fully renovated last year, featuring now a modern look. Onboard, passengers have the opportunity to discover the Baltic region on 2 sailings leaving from Stralsund Germany: “Island hopping Baltic Sea” and “Baltic Islands”. The itineraries run from May through October 2021, with prices starting at EUR 1,395 (GBP 1,240) per person in a 2-bed cabin.
A couple of VIVA Cruises’ most popular vessels, MS Treasures and MS Inspire will be offering 4-night sailings along the Main and Rhine rivers throughout summer 2021. Among the Main river highlights are the German towns of Wertheim and Wurzburg, while the trips on the Rhine will take passengers to Kehl-Strasbourg (via Mannheim).
Guests can also look forward to Danube routes visiting popular cities like Bratislava, Budapest and Vienna, as well as the 6-night Rhine Winter Fairy Tale trips between Dusseldorf and Strasbourg during Christmas 2021.
MS Inspire will start her 2021 itineraries mainly from Dusseldorf, including Ijsselmeer Discovery and Rheingau Experience, as well as running some voyages along the Moselle River with a new Moselle Valley port - Traben-Trarbach.
Both ships (Treasures and Inspire) will commence the 2021 season at the end of March. They will be running voyages all year round. Prices for a 4-night sailing in a 2-bed cabin start at EUR 500 (GBP 440) or EUR 2,700 (GBP 2,400) for the 17-day Danube Delta Tour.
