ACL-American Cruise Lines announced the launch (float out) of its newest riverboat - American Melody, at Chesapeake Shipbuilding - shipyard in Salisbury (Maryland USA).

American Melody has 5 decks (4 with cabins) and max passenger capacity 175 (91 staterooms). The cruise ship has a new interior design but continues to feature the architectural hallmarks of ACL’s modern riverboats with a multi-deck high glass Atrium, all-balcony staterooms (each with a step-out veranda), a retractable gangway and patented bow door opening.

American Melody is scheduled to begin cruising the Mississippi River in summer 2021. ACL will debut American Jazz in March 2021 (3rd modern riverboat) delayed from cruising in 2020 due to the pandemic. ACL’s 5th (Symphony) and 6th (Serenade) riverboats are both due in 2022, and the company plans to continue its rapid-building plans.
