RCI-Royal Caribbean's newest ship Wonder of the Seas homeported in China (Shanghai and Hong Kong) starting 2022

RCI-Royal Caribbean International announced that its latest evolution of the revolutionary Oasis Class, Wonder of the Seas, would set sail from Shanghai and Hong Kong in 2022 on 4- to 9-night cruises through the Far East to the best of Japan.

Currently under construction in Saint-Nazaire, France, the newbuild Wonder OTS will be the largest cruise ship in the world and the first of its kind to call China home when she arrives in March next year. Her inaugural season sailings are now open for booking.

Between March and November 2022, guests can travel on roundtrip from Shanghai to Japan and immerse themselves in the local culture from Kobe-Osaka and the best beef in Kobe to the nation’s oldest official residence in Fukuoka City, and the natural scenery of the islands of Okinawa. Ports of call also include Kumamoto City, Kagoshima, Ishigaki, Miyazaki City, Tokyo.

Wonder OTS will transition to warmer climates and homeport in Hong Kong from November 2022 through January 2023, to offer Christmas and New Year’s holiday sailings. Part of the destination lineup includes Chan May in Vietnam; Busan and Jeju in South Korea; Kochi and Okinawa in Japan; Keelung-Taipei in China.
