AIDA Cruises to deploy AIDAnova in the Canary Islands winter 2021-2022

The Carnival Corporation-owned German subsidiary AIDA Cruises announced it will deploy the 2018-built AIDAnova ship in the Canary Islands in winter 2021-2022, the top destination for passengers from German-speaking countries.

The liners has 20 decks (2600 staterooms) and features 17 restaurants, 23 bars/lounges, 22 elevators, a climbing garden, a dual waterslide, Theatrium (with a 360-degree stage), Beach Club (adults deck), TV Studio, Body & Soul Organic Spa.

AIDAnova is taking over the cruises of its LNG-powered sistership AIDAcosma (still under construction). 

AIDAnova will offer 2 additional short cruises from Hamburg (Germany) starting December 14 & 19, 2021, before the Christmas and New Year’s Eve journey from Hamburg to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on December 22, 2021.

With AIDAbella, the company will put another liner of the fleet into service and thus offer cruises to the Orient in winter 2021-2022.

AIDAbella is taking over the sailings of AIDAnova commencing with the cruise “From Mallorca to Dubai” from November 6, this year. A special highlight in the 2021 winter season in the Orient is Dubai's World EXPO. AIDAbella passengers will have an extra-long stay in the metropolis for this purpose.

In addition to Dubai (Port Rashid-Dubai Harbour, UAE), the vessel will also call at Muscat (Oman) and Abu Dhabi UAE, as well as Doha (Qatar) or Bahrein on some dates.
