Portsmouth (England UK) is due to welcome yet another newbuild liner in 2022 owned by Virgin Voyages as the new brand's fleet continues to grow.

Scarlet Lady (delivered in February 2020) was temporarily homeported in Portsmouth during summer 2021, spending more than a month in the city and completing several voyages around England at a reduced capacity.

The sistership Valiant Lady is expected to become Virgin's 2nd boat to enter full operations.

Virgin has plans in place to deliver a further pair of vessels by 2023 bringing the fleet size to 4 in total.

When Scarlet Lady called at Portsmouth for the first time back in June 2021, she became the biggest ship ever to dock at Portsmouth International Port.

However, the ship is now homeported in Miami (Florida USA), meaning any future calls at Portsmouth UK are unlikely.

Virgin's second ship, Valiant Lady, is scheduled to debut from Portsmouth in Spring 2022. Similar to Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady is expected to complete a number of roundtrip cruises this year between March 18-May 14.
