Bandol (France Riviera)

Bandol is a Western Mediterranean (and French Riviera) cruise port and town in France's Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region (Var department) with population around 9,000. The town is located west of Toulon and was founded in the late-16th-century.

Created in 1941, the Bandol wine region is one of Provence’s internationally most recognized wine-growing regions. Here are produced rose, red and white wines from vineyards covering a total area of approx 1550 hectares (1,56 km2 / 3830 acres). The vineyards are spread across 8 villages, but the majority are north of Bandol.
