Caldas de Aregos is a spa resort on Douro River (Portugal), part of Resende municipality (Viseu district, South Douro). It is composed of two parishes (Miomaes and Anreade). The resort is located approx 90 km (55 mi) from Oporto and approx 30 km (20 mi) from Regua (port to Lamego). The location is popular among tourists for its natural scenic beauty and healing sulfurous waters.
Annually, in the period from May through October, Caldas de Aregos is visited by thousands of tourists for various spa therapy treatments, including rheumatism, respiratory and skin diseases, etc.
