Graciosa Island (officially Ilha Graciosa) is one of Portugal's Azores Islands (the archipelago's northernmost). The oval-shaped isle has a total area of 61 km2 (23 ml2), with length 10 km (6 ml) and width 7 km (4 ml). Volcanic in origin, the island has a caldera (in its southeastern part) with width of 1,6 km (1 ml) and highest elevation 402 m (1320 ft).

The island's economy is based mainly on agriculture, animal husbandry / farming) (grass-fed beef) and dairy cattle (production of cheese and other products). The island is served by a commercial seaport and the Graciosa Airport (along the north coast). Daily Atlanticline ferries connect it to other Azores Islands. Other features are a large milk factory, fishing port with floating piers (in Praia), recreational areas, large hotel (Graciosa Resort & Business Hotel), hospital, Carapacho's thermal baths.
