Greenville MS (port locode USGRE) is a Mississippi River cruise port and city in Washington County (Mississippi, USA) with population around 35,000. The area is famous for its numerous historic Mississippi Delta cotton plantations.

The 1824-founded town became the county seat in 1844. Greenville MS was completely destroyed in 1863 (during the siege of Vicksburg) when Union Navy troops burned all buildings and all inhabitants took refuge in the plantation houses. After the American Civil War (1861-65), the former residents started building again on a new site - on Lake Ferguson's eastern bank, at the highest point between Vicksburg and Memphis.

Among the most popular tourist attractions are Winterville Mounds Historic Site (earthwork mounds constructed by the indigenous Natchez people in the 13th-15th centuries) and Winterville Mounds (designated state park and National Historic Landmark).
