Neum (port locode BANEM) is an Adriatic Sea port and town in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the country's only seaport. Bosnia's coastline has a total length of approx 20 km (12 mi). The town has a population of around 3,000 and is located approx 60 km (37 mi) from Croatia's most visited city and largest cruise port - Dubrovnik.

Future plans include the development of Neum as cargo port - with modern facilities and direct railway and road links to Croatia. Today, Bosnia-Herzegovina's primary cargo port is Ploce (Croatia) which is rail-linked to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

The town features a typical Mediterranean climate, scenery highlighted by pebble-sand beaches, pristine wilderness, steep hills (with centuries-old olive trees), several large resort hotels (including Sunce, Villa Nova, Grand Hotel, Nova, Orka, Porat, Jadran), numerous villas and apartments for tourist rentals. Neum's hotels-motels-villas-apartments offer ~5000 beds. Tourism is the town's main source of income. The tourism and shopping industries benefit from the lower prices in comparison to Croatia's travel and leisure vacation offers.

As a cruise port, Neum is a tender port - meaning the ship anchors at sea and transports the passengers ashore via its tender boats.
